What Is Parent Orbit?

Parent Orbit is a mobile app specifically designed for school parents to access important information, accept invitations, perform tasks, and pay for school items.

Utilising the notifications functionality, you will be prompted whenever there is an important piece of information for you to action on the go.

Student Maintenance

Parents can view and edit important student data and keep administrators up to date with critical medical, emergency and personal information.

Extra Curricular Hub

The Extra Curricular Hub provides a centralised view of sessions such as training, fixtures and extra curricular events.

Calendars

The School Calendar allow parents to quickly view term dates, school events and holiday periods.

Notifications

Targeted notifications mean parents only get alerted about information that’s for their family.

Notifications can be generated or automatically sent out to specific families based on attendance, extra curricular participation and/or events.

Acknowledgements

Parents will receive notifications that keep them informed on student's attendance.

They can quickly acknowledge absences, provide information to the school and view a history of attendance. Parents can send absences to the school for processing as well as attach any relevant medical certificates.

Events & Payments

Accept and decline excursions on the go.

Allow parents to make easy payments, pay school fees (planned for future release), and send payments through the dedicated payment portals.

Let's Get Started..

First: Download Parent orbit

Steps 1 & 2 are for desktop users. If you are on a mobile device, click the App Store button above and continue with Step 3.
  1. Open your device’s camera app
  2.  Scan the QR code provided below to access the App Store for the Parent Orbit App.
  3. Click ‘Open’ when prompted to open this page in App Store.
  4. Once the App Store page for the app appears, tap “Get” or “Download.”
  5. You may be prompted to enter your Apple ID password or use Touch ID/Face ID to confirm the download.
  6. After the download is complete, tap “Open” to launch the app.
  7. Be sure to enable Notifications.
Steps 1 & 2 are for desktop users. If you are on a mobile device, click the Google Play button above and continue with step 3.
  1. Open your device’s camera app
  2. Scan the QR code provided below to access the Google Play Store for the Parent Orbit App.
  3. Once the Google Play Store page for the app appears, tap “Install.”
  4. The app will request certain permissions; tap “Accept” to grant them.
  5. After the installation is complete, tap “Open” to launch the app.
  6. Be sure to enable Notifications.

Next: Launch The App

  1. Once the App is Launched, you may see a prompt to enter the School Code.
  2. The School Code is regentcollege (all letters in small caps).
  3. Press Submit. 
  4. If you see a message “Parent Orbit” Wants to Use “tass.cloud” to Sign in, press Continue
  5.  You will then see your personal login page.
  6. Enter your [Parent Lounge username]
  7. Enter your [Parent Lounge password]
  8. Press Login.
  9.  You will see a message from the app requesting access to the following information, press Allow. (You will only need to do this once per term)
  10. You will then see the dashboard of the Parent Orbit App where you can explore information about your child, view notifications and and take appropriate action if needed.  

The short answer is No. You can still log into Parent Lounge via the web as usual but you will miss out on a ton of functionality that the app provides that is designed to make your life as a parent easier. 

Your login is the same as the one you use for Parent Lounge. Your username is your Parent Code. If you’ve forgotten your Parent Code or password, please contact our Admin Office. 

If you have more than one child at the college, you will be able to access the information of each child by tapping your displayed child’s profile and then selecting your other child.

The eDiary is a calendar of events and activities specific to the selected student only. This feature is particularly helpful if you have more than one child at Regent.  The eDiary is to be viewed in conjunction with the school calendar, which lists all school activities and events.
